  1. Hello. I`m back after a months break with a few questions at the 
  2. ready.

  4. 1. Everyone go and download two of my games (or more if you want).
  5.    Specifically. Banana Islands and Kill Em All. (Nice titles I know)

  9.     I think that both of them are quite reasonable compared to the 
  10. usual standard of AMOS stuff. Admittedly, I knicked SOME gfx of 
  11. people (but not without significant changes to them) and they can slow
  12. down but.....   oh someone just tell me what you think please??!

  14. 2. Does anyone use the Turbo extension?
  15.    I have a problem using the faster icon 32 commands. They often 
  16. cause graphical displays to go wrong (especially if memory is low) 
  17. and if you try to display them anywhere near the sides of a screen, 
  18. they are moved so that they fit fully on. I realise that the author 
  19. cut down on clipping to speed them up but what i`d rather is that 
  20. they are simply not pasted at all rather than moved where I don`t 
  21. want them. Any ideas?

  23. 3. I don`t suppose that the AMOS source code has been released into 
  24. the PD in the last month? Thought not.

  26. 4. Using a combination of the JD extension and the turbo extension, 
  27. there are commands to turn off multi-tasking (Multi No and JD Multi 
  28. off - I think). Well these give a reasonable speed increase but as 
  29. the authors say, it disables the keyboard. One of the extensions (I 
  30. can`t remember which) gives a command - n=Raw Key(x) - which is 
  31. supposed to overcome this, but it is EXTREMELY unreliable and often 
  32. just causes a lock out. Any one have any solutions? I also find that 
  33. these multi tasking off commands will crash AMOS quite often even if 
  34. you turn them off at the end of your program.
